Syllabus

1. Intent and brainstorming
- Classify each request as a Spike, Bounded, or Architectural task.
- Brainstorm the approach and pass the intent lock gate before any code is written.
2. Writing executable plans
- Write plans in the ultra-plan/v1 format, with frontmatter the runner can read.
- Validate each plan with the runner, so every step carries a command and an expected exit code.
- Draw the visual implementation map in Mermaid and get it approved.
3. Test-driven development and systematic debugging
- Write the failing test first, then the smallest code that passes, then refactor.
- Reproduce a bug with a failing test and isolate its root cause before fixing it.
4. Subagent orchestration
- Split the work into narrow chunks and fan them out to subagents in parallel.
- Audit every returned chunk with a parent diff review before it counts as done.
- Keep git ownership with the parent: subagents edit files, the parent commits.
5. Verification and pull request delivery
- Pass the evidence gates with fresh command output before any completion claim.
- Track each pull request in the PR registry and merge them one at a time, in order.
6. Session-close debt sweep and learning harvest
- Collect every noticed but unclosed item and choose the follow-ups to finish now.
- Harvest the lessons of the session into lasting rules for the next one.
