The Vivera Glossary

Vivera is a fictional name inspired by Elli, one of the characters in Harvest Moon: Back to Nature. The pipeline underneath is unchanged; the vocabulary around it borrows from Harvest Moon: Back to Nature (Sony PlayStation, Victor Interactive Software, 1999; published in English by Natsume on 22 November 2000), a farming game about slow, patient work that pays off. The terms below are cosmetic labels for real pipeline concepts. When a document says "ship it", "dispatch the sprites", or "offer the Blue Feather", this is what it means.

This glossary follows the PlayStation game only, not Friends of Mineral Town or the Nintendo DS game.

The farmThe player's land in Mineral VillageThis repository
Crops and seedsWhat you plant, tend, and shipSkills and their source files; install.sh plants them into every harness it detects (and always into ~/.config/ai and ~/.agents/skills)
Power BerryA hidden berry that permanently raises max stamina by 10; ten of them existA permanent capability upgrade: each merged skill or tooling change raises what the pipeline can do in a day
Mystic Berry (Kappa's Berry)Halves the fatigue rate; earned from Kappa after leaving three cucumbers in Mother Lake, one per spring dayWork that halves context fatigue: token frugality, graphify queries over raw dumps, ctx_execute over full output
The seven Harvest SpritesChef, Nappy, Hoggy, Aqua, Bold, Timid, and Staid, each in a different colorSubagents. Fan-out sends sprites to separate fields, and each sprite owns one small chunk
The Tea PartyA Spring gathering: on a sunny, non-festival day between 3:00 and 4:00 pm you give each of the seven sprites a gift they love (Flour is easiest) inside their hut, and they invite you; the reward is Relaxation Tea LeavesThe gather-and-synthesize checkpoint: reports are collected only when every dispatched sprite has reported
Affection (heart levels)Seven colors from black to red, tracked in points (blue is 20,000 to 29,999; green is 30,000 to 39,999)Trust, measured: review findings, fresh evidence, and merged work accumulate points; nothing is approved on vibes
Blue FeatherSold at the Supermarket for 1,000G once a bachelorette reaches an orange heart; the marriage proposal item, which also needs a red heart and the second house extensionA pull request. Opening one is the proposal, the owner's approval is the yes, and the merge is the wedding
Ores and Saibara's ForgeMythril, Orichalcum, and Adamantite dug from the mine; Saibara forges Orichalcum into an accessory for 1,000G and a three-day waitRaw contributions are ore. The REFACTOR pass and the review forge them into tools, and forging has a cooldown on purpose
The Shipping Bin and ZackProduce goes in the bin and is collected and paid for each eveningThe PR registry (scripts/pr-registry.mjs). Sessions toss verified work in, order computes the pickup route, and merged means shipped and paid
WonThe traveling peddler who shows up with rare goodsThe optional-tools bazaar: tgrep, rtk, context-mode, snipset, graphify. Powerful, oddly priced, and strictly opt-in
House extensions and the GreenhouseThe farmhouse grows through extensions, and the greenhouse grows crops in any seasonRepo maturity: each capability (templates, deep research, vault indexing, the graph) is a new wing. graphify-out/ is the greenhouse: it grows in any codebase, in any season
SeasonsSpring, Summer, Fall, and Winter, thirty days eachThe delivery lifecycle: Spring plants the idea (brainstorm), Summer tends the plan (design and approval), Fall brings the harvest (TDD, verification, PR), and Winter is for the hearth (debt sweep, ledger, memory)
Stamina and fatigueStamina drains as you work; at zero you pass out and lose the morningThe agent's context budget. Power Berries raise the ceiling, the Mystic Berry halves the burn, and compaction is passing out
FestivalsThe town calendar: Goddess Festival, Harvest Festival, Fireworks Display, Starry NightRelease milestones; a new version may take a festival name

Naming

Vivera is a fictional name inspired by Elli, one of the characters in Harvest Moon: Back to Nature. It is not the name of a farm or a place in the game, and the repository is only called the farm in the game-inspired vocabulary.

Game facts above were checked against fan guides on 2026-10-03, and the Harvest Sprite rows were rechecked against Back to Nature sources on 2026-10-11 (the full list is in docs/vivera-glossary.md); rows backed by a listed source are covered by it, and the rest (such as the thirty-day seasons and the town names) are general game lore.

  • Harvest Moon: Back to Nature Guide, Secrets page (https://www.harvestmoonbacktonatureguide.com/secrets.html), fetched 2026-10-11: Relaxation Tea Leaves come from the Spring tea party; on a sunny, non-festival day between 3:00 and 4:00 pm, give each sprite a gift they love (Flour is easiest) without leaving their house, and they invite you.
  • Harvest Moon: Back to Nature Guide, Characters page (https://www.harvestmoonbacktonatureguide.com/characters.html), a guide written for the PS1 game, fetched 2026-10-11: the sprites are in the small hut behind the church; talk to one twice to get work done, five times in Spring because of the tea party; hearts rise per 25 affection points; each working day costs 2 affection; a hidden skill per job starts at 0, rises 1 per job done, and maxes at 255; all sprites share likes and dislikes; birthdays Chef Fall 14, Nappy Winter 22, Hoggy Fall 10, Timid Summer 16, Aqua Spring 26, Staid Spring 15, Bold Spring 4. The page states no heart threshold. Its Girls page, same date: heart levels black, purple, blue, green, yellow, orange, red (red is 60,000 to 65,535).
  • Harvest Moon Wiki (Fandom), "Harvest Sprites (BTN)" (https://harvestmoon.fandom.com/wiki/Harvest_Sprites_(BTN)), full page read 2026-10-11: at least 2 hearts; hire for 1 day, 3 days from tomorrow, or 1 week from tomorrow; only Summer, Fall, and Winter, while in Spring a sprite refuses unless you talk to it 5 times in a row; one job per request; harvesting ships crops instantly; animal care feeds, milks, and shears; sprites work through hurricanes and blizzards; identical apart from hat and shirt color; Chef red, Nappy orange, Hoggy yellow, Timid green, Aqua light blue, Staid dark blue (its trivia says indigo), Bold purple; a fourth-year event where Chef carries a lantern (the wiki's Back to Nature Screenshots category also holds Chefevent.png). The page's navigation box lists Back to Nature and Boy & Girl together. Decision (repository owner, 2026-10-11): this page is the reference for the game's rules, so its 2-heart threshold and its storm rule (sprites still come) are used as written. No PS1 guide gives a heart number, the IGN FAQ agrees with the wiki on storms, and the GameFAQs walkthrough says the opposite. The 1-day, 3-day, and 1-week hire options are listed here and were confirmed by the repository owner from playing the game (2026-10-11); no PS1 guide lists the 1-day and 3-day ones (the GameFAQs walkthrough shows 1 week). Staid's color varies between sources: this page's table says dark blue, its trivia and the FoMT page say indigo, the IGN FAQ and Ushi No Tane say blue or indigo, and Ranch Story says green.
  • GameFAQs, Harvest Moon: Back to Nature - Guide and Walkthrough - PlayStation, by Sky_Render (https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/ps/446412-harvest-moon-back-to-nature/faqs/26294), fetched 2026-10-11: the sprites are seven elfling brothers who live behind the church; the better they like you, the more likely they offer to help, and no heart number is given; jobs are watering, harvesting, or tending animals, and only when the job needs doing; they start the next day; a blizzard or hurricane keeps them away; the IGN FAQ below says the opposite about storms; hearts rise per 25 points, each working day costs 2 affection, and skill rises 1 per job per working day up to 255; the walkthrough hires them for 1 week; its calendar lists Hoggy Fall 10, Chef Fall 14, Timid Summer 16, and Nappy Winter 22.
  • GameFAQs, Harvest Moon: Back to Nature - Marriage FAQ - PlayStation, by Mateui N., 2001 (https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/ps/446412-harvest-moon-back-to-nature/faqs/13757), fetched 2026-10-11: marriage needs the second house extension, a girl with a red heart, and a Blue Feather bought at the Supermarket for 1,000G; orange means dating and red means in love. The PS1 guide's Girls page says "pink" once but its own table says red, so pink is treated as a slip.
  • Ranch Story wiki, Harvest Sprites (Harvest Moon: Back to Nature) (https://wiki.ranchstory.farm/index.php/Harvest_Sprites_(Harvest_Moon:_Back_to_Nature)), fetched 2026-10-11: a stub that lists different birthdays (Chef Spring 14, Nappy Summer 22, Hoggy Spring 10, Timid Spring 16) and colors (Staid green, Bold dark blue, which gives two greens and no purple). Two PS1 guides list Chef Fall 14, Hoggy Fall 10, Timid Summer 16, and Nappy Winter 22, so those dates and the page's Staid and Bold colors are not used.
  • Ushi No Tane, Back To Nature - Harvest Sprites (https://fogu.com/hm/btn/harvestsprites.php), the Back to Nature section of that site (not hm4), fetched 2026-10-11: Bold purple, Staid indigo, Aqua blue, Timid green, Hoggy yellow, Chef red, Nappy orange; birthdays Bold Spring 4, Staid Spring 15, Aqua Spring 26, Timid Summer 16, Hoggy Fall 10, Chef Fall 14, Nappy Winter 22; the sprites live in a small hut in the back of the church; they work if you talk to them twice, and in Spring you must talk to each one 5 times because of the tea party; give them a present when they finish so they work better next time; they love flour. No heart number is given.
  • IGN, Harvest Moon: Back to Nature Walkthrough/FAQ (https://www.ign.com/articles/2003/03/14/harvest-moon-back-to-nature-walkthroughfaq-389474), a reader-written FAQ for the PS1 game, fetched 2026-10-11: personality lines that the author says come from the in-game library: Chef loves to cook, Nappy is the one the brothers live with (a house offered by the villagers), Hoggy loves to sleep and is lazy, Timid is easily scared, Aqua likes to dress nicely, Bold is brave and scares others with a battle cry; colors Staid blue, Aqua light blue, Bold purple; "The more hearts they have, the more productive they will be"; and "You really need them to take care of your animals on bad weather days like snowstorm or hurricane", which contradicts the GameFAQs walkthrough. The "hardworking meter" in it is the author's own judgment and is not used, and its Aqua birthday (Spring 24th) disagrees with every other source (Spring 26).
  • atwiki, Harvest Moon Boy & Girl @ Wiki, Harvest Sprites (https://w.atwiki.jp/harvestmoon/pages/27.html), a Japanese wiki for the PSP remake, fetched 2026-10-11: a sprite needs at least 2 hearts to be asked; in Spring it refuses until you talk to it 5 times, which lowers affection; a job can be asked only if there is work left; the PS "for Girl" version accepts even with no work left; hired sprites do not come in a typhoon or heavy snow; Bold and Staid have the early birthdays of Spring 4 and Spring 15. It describes the PSP game, not the PS1 game, but its 2-heart figure agrees with the wiki.
  • CrystalMaiden77, "Harvest Moon Back to Nature vs FoMT" (https://crystalmaiden77.wordpress.com/2025/01/24/harvest-moon-back-to-nature-vs-fomt/), fetched 2026-10-11: not used. The author plays the PSP port, and the 3-hearts remark about hiring sprites is uncited.
